The Academy of Architecture runs the Master's degree programme in Architecture to train architects. The core of the programme lies in architectural designs. The programme trains architects who are able to produce a substantiated spatial building or other design and turn their design into reality.  Graduates may use the title Master of Science. Holders of the degree certificate are permitted to register themselves in the Register of Architects. (BA)
The exit qualifications of the degree programme are in part determined by European guidelines. Graduates may practise the profession of architect throughout the entire European Community.
 

1. The ability to create architectural designs that meet aesthetic, technical and functional requirements;
2. Relevant knowledge of the history of architecture, related art forms and social sciences, as well as of social and cultural currents to the extent that these have influenced the discipline of architectural design;
3. Knowledge of the visual arts to the extent that these may influence the quality of architectural design;
4. Relevant knowledge of urban development, town and country planning and the techniques used in these areas;
5. Insight into the relationship between people and architectural constructions and that between architectural constructions and their environments; also an understanding of the need for architectural constructions and the intermediate spaces to meet society’s needs and comply with accepted standards;
6. Insight into the profession of architect and the role of the architect in society, particularly with respect to projects where social factors need to be taken into account;
7. Insight into and proficiency with research methods and project preparation;
8. Insight into the problems of structural design, construction, and building and architecture in relation to designing buildings;
9. Relevant knowledge of physical and technological issues, as well as of the function of the structure with a view to comfort and protection from weather conditions;
10. Technical proficiency as a designer who is able to meet the requirements of the users of the building being designed while remaining within budget and complying with building regulations.
11. Relevant knowledge of the industries, organisations and procedures that are involved in converting designs into structures and incorporating plans in town and country planning;
12. Visual and verbal communication skills that enable the architect to make a design clear to others;
13.
