Learning outcomes

At the end of this course the transition strategist will be able to:

1. Critically evaluate the role of social dialogue in promoting societal change and the energy transition.
2. Critically evaluate social dialogue practices within the context of energy transition.
3. Critically evaluate how various stakeholders reflect explicit and implicit objectives and values in the energy transition debate.
4. Apply the acquired knowledge for development of social dialogue application strategies.

Content

The course “In Dialogue about Energy” encourages students: (1) to explore the role of social dialogue in fostering the societal change and the energy transition; (2) to make critical evaluations of existent social dialogue practices within the context of energy transition; (3) to critically analyse the stakeholders’ reflection of explicit and implicit objectives and values of the energy transition; (4) to communicate research results to the audience of peers clearly and convincingly. Within this course students are asked to take responsibility for their own personal learning process and to actively engage in activities of community of learners.
In addition, during the course students will practice their ability to: independently conduct applied scientific research; integrate the acquired interdisciplinary knowledge for handling the complexity of energy community development.
