Content

The course Professional Practices deals with the context of fine art and art practice. The course introduces professional thinking and critical and visual literacy, paying attention to communication skills. This course enables students to articulate and contextualise their own art practice. The emphasis lies on visualisation and visual retention. Fieldwork in the form of gallery visits as well as a variety of guest artists who share their experience in the field of art introduces art criticism and reporting.
Students develop basic skills in oral, written and physical presentation as well as in approaches to contextual research.
