Content
This course is about social issues and processes in a neighbourhood in relation to regional, national and/or global trends. Students will experience and observe different values and different attitudes of the inhabitants in a neighbourhood, furthermore they will become acquainted with social dynamics and processes in this area. Obviously the influence of the spatial area on these social issues are part of this course, since the spatial area can stimulate the usage and increase the value for a neighbourhood from the social perspective.
Through (guest) lectures, research and self-initiated forms of education the students will learn about these subjects.
The main objective of this course is that the student increases his or her perception and awareness of social issues in relation to its context as well as broadening his or her mind set regarding these issues.
