After following this module, the successful student will be able to:
- Describe and sketch a single or multiple unit operation system in a process flow diagram;
- Convert between mass, mole molecules, and mole atoms in component streams in a single unit operation (and recognize where necessary to do so)
- Setup mass- /mole-balances over a single unit operation without chemical reaction, and solve (calculate the unknowns);
- Setup mass- /mol-balances over a single unit operation with chemical reaction, and solve (calculate the unknowns);
- Setup mass- /mol-balances over multiple unit operations with chemical reaction and recycle stream, and solve (calculate the unknowns)
