Content

This course prepares students to add value to international business and society by developing adequate life and career skills, the so-called 21st-century skills, by means of workshops.

The seminars contribute to preparing business professionals with a global mindset by the following steps. Firstly, boosting students’ awareness of their own cultural rules and perspectives, meanwhile, starting to identify differences in (cultural) perspectives. Additionally, encouraging students to view the experiences and behaviors of others through their own cultural worldview and respond to others using their own cultural worldview. Besides, making them see the relevance of making use of cultural differences in verbal and nonverbal communication, and starts to (care for) develop(-ing) shared meaning. Lastly, motivating them to identify the effect of cultural differences upon organizational behavior and strategic choices.
