Learning outcomes

At the end of this module the student is able to:
  • construct a smart system model and translate it into a digital twin.
  • describe systems using linear and nonlinear dynamical system models by applying techniques such as state space, phase portrait, linearization and bifurcations.
  • model sensor-controlled actuator activity in a low dimensional non-linear system. 
  • apply mathematical data fusion models, such as covariance intersection and unscented  Kálman filter

The course covers the following topics: linear and non-linear dynamical system models, model simulation tools, knowledge-based systems (expert systems).
