Content
The OffCourses are a substantial part of the study program and offers a wide range of elective classes for students to participate in interdisciplinary and emerging Art and Design practices and offer students the opportunity to connect with a subject for a longer period of time, in a diversity of contexts and in an interdisciplinary setting.
For the duration of one semester professionals, as well as Research Center and Project Agency (Project Bureau) are invited to share their knowledge and expertise in teaching students in weekly classes. Together they form a temporary community of artistic practice.
Experimental learning by making gives these groups innovative expertise in a wide range of fields for example research in materiality and physicality and technology in relation to sustainability (Reinventing Technology & Tales), art and artistic practices in a social, environmental context (Understanding People & Places), (inter)cultural narratives (Exploring Scene & Scenarios) or a theory based offcourse which contributes to the cultural and social positioning of the student as an artist/designer (Capita Selecta).
Each semester students can choose out of no less than 20 OffCourses, each with their own interesting topic.
