Content
You are going to explore the profession of medical analyst and how it fits into the curriculum of the Biology and Medical Laboratory Research - Medical Diagnostics programme.
You will delve into the work field of the medical analyst using various sources (e.g. the programme description, the curriculum overview, job banks, media articles, the internship/graduation archive, research publications, interviews with trainees/analysts and possibly your own sources).
During the practicals, you will learn basic laboratory skills and safety aspects related to them.
In addition, you will investigate the use and principle of a self-test within a group and present this via a multimedia product. You will study the theory of organ systems and present it to each other. To conclude, you will examine, name and draw the different organs and organ systems of an organism in the laboratory and during an excursion.
Finally, you will reflect on the professional content by presenting your experiences together with fellow students at the end of the module.
