Learning outcomes

Having completed this course, the students will be able to:

  1. Apply minute-taking skills while reporting meetings; 
  2. Use and apply a wide range of business-related vocabulary and selected grammatical structures; 
  3. Understand and apply the principles of referencing, incl. paraphrasing and plagiarism, in academic writing; 
  4. Create a portfolio showcasing a reflection of their personal development, incl. study & presentation skills;
  5. Give and receive (peer) feedback by applying learned models;  
  6. Show an understanding of and operate responsibly and efficiently in teams while being aware of and applying a variety of group dynamics;
  7. Observe and recognize conflict situations while identifying the strengths and weaknesses in cooperation with others.

Reflection and professional communication.

In this second block at MM, the focus is on reflection and professional communication. Students will practice their intercultural business skills by becoming aware of group dynamics and conflict situations. Students will learn how to identify their strengths and weaknesses in cooperation with others and are asked to reflect on their development both in writing as orally. Regarding written professional communication, students will practice minute-taking skills as well as learn about referencing in academic writing.
