Content

PT-care 1.4 consists of 2 courses of 5 EC that are interwoven with each other. Course 1: Neurology & Rehabilitation 1 and course 2: Skills & integration.
This course concerns Neurology rehabilitation 1 and covers the more theoretical part of PT-care 1.4.

With knowledge and insight into the client’s problems, the physiotherapist can provide high-standard qualitative care. The variation in symptoms among patients with neurological problems is considerable. Patients with similar diagnoses can display very different clinical pictures. To  provide assessment and treatment adequately and in a patient-specific fashion during professional practice, it is indispensable for physiotherapists to have comprehensive knowledge of neurology. The quality of the clinical reasoning will follow the degree to which a skilled practitioner is knowledgeable about the client’s problems.
By gearing the instruction towards knowledge of and insight into aspects of central and peripheral neurological problems, we aim for the professional growth of physiotherapists-in-training. This theoretical background is examined during an oral exam.

Anatomy 4 is a course where theorectical background is being tested. It comprises identifying, localising bony structures, as well as origin and attachment of muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves, skin areas and dermatomes. In this course we will discuss and test the basic anatomic knowledge and skills that we use as physiotherapists. This course delves deeper into the materials and expands on Anatomy 1 to 3, and is being examined in a written test.
