Learning outcomes

The course will cover the following topics: 

This is a group project with individual elements, across two study periods. Two or three real business cases will be presented by IBS Lectors. Students have the freedom to set up their own groups with classmates or fellow students from other classes.     

Research content:   

  • Research methodology for a real business case  
  • Inferential statistics/SPSS  
  • Semi-structured interview    

Business Research 

  • Analyse a complex business problem in an international business setting with use of adequate research design, resulting in an evidence-based, feasible solution. 

Law: 

  • Analyse patterns in global legal factors and policies that drive international trade and business development. 

English:  

  • Business report structure from chapter down to paragraph and sentence level  
  • Dedication to layout  
  • Improving business report writing to C1 level of the CEFR or higher  
  • Finetuning business presentation skills  
  • Sourcing and referencing  
  • Becoming a critical, analytical language user and learner
