Course: Business Consulting Project credits: 5

In this project, students will learn about the fundamental principles of business consulting. Students will learn about how to analyze, define, and formulate relevant business problems; students will learn how to use theories and concepts they find in the relevant literature to help in the business consulting process; students will learn how to use different types of analyses to study the macro (country), meso (sector), and micro (organization) levels of analyses; students will learn how they can use these different types of analyses to formulate concrete, relevant, and timely recommendations; and students will learn how to communicate this by writing an appealing, convincing, and methodologically sound business consulting report. 

The contents will be taught through a series of mass lectures, as well as self-study materials. Furthermore, for the actual project assignment, student teams will be tasked with consulting an existing international company on the viability of their organizational strategy. Specifically, student teams will write a business consulting report in which they describe, analyze, and diagnose the company's current strategy and to develop meaningful recommendations for the future. Student teams will be supported through a series of coaching sessions and workshops.
