Content

In this course, students will learn about the fundamental principles of the internal business environment. Students will learn about the internal organization from different perspectives. First, from an Organizational Design perspective, students will learn about how organizations can be designed (e.g., in terms of strategy, structure, and culture) to most effectively and efficiently achieve its goals. Second, from an Organizational Behaviour perspective, students will learn about how the psychology of employees (e.g., in terms of attitudes, motivation, and personality) affects their contributions to the organization.

The Organizational Design and Organizational Behavior perspectives will simultaneously be taught in two separate series of workshops. In these workshops, students will proactively contribute to discussing the course contents to help everyone's knowledge and understanding. In addition to these workshops, a series of integrated mass lectures will be offered.

The course will be assessed by means of a written exam.
