Content

Chamber music

  • All strings, woodwind and brass instruments play in at least two ensembles a year during all four years, with the aim of covering all periods of music history that are relevant to the various instruments.
  • Pianists / organists / harpsichords / harpists / guitarists are classified into at least one heterogeneous ensemble per year. If repertoire requires it, and in consultation with the ensemble coordinator, they can form a duo with an instrumentalist or singer or with another pianist as a piano duo. From the 2nd semester of year 1 they must also follow Chamber music.
  • Singers are classified into at least one heterogeneous ensemble per year and may form one duo per year with a pianist / organist / harpsichordist / harpist / guitarist or with another vocalist as a singing duo.
  • Drummers participate, in addition to following the course "percussion ensemble" (see elsewhere), in at least one heterogeneous ensemble per year.

Piano-accompaniment
Work is being carried out individually to become a professional musician. The accompanist coaches the student in deepening the repertoire, taking care of the piano part, partly in relation to the ensemble playing and performance practice. The accomponist prepares the student for exams and guides the student on lunch concerts and recitals.

Historical Implementation Practice (HUP)
The student works together with the accompanist on a repertoire from the late 17th and / or first half of the 18th century, with a focus on performance practice. At least strings work with a baroque bow.
