Learning outcomes
Students develop primarily in the field of professional competence, specifically for applied composition. The assignments can be seen as "finger exercises" in which people train in a wide variety of contexts in making assignment music. Students also develop a historical awareness in the field of applied composition, gain insight into their own working process regarding commissioned work, gain insight into relationships between clients and composers and start developing their own "voice".
Content
The student is introduced to the design of music and sound for various media. Overarching aspects such as the technique of working on image, the production of demos, compositional content and also entrepreneurial aspects such as commissioned work are discussed in all blocks and are highlighted from various contexts. In the second year the assignments slightly larger (but still clearly limited) and there is more room for development of one's own "voice."
