Content
HML advanced level (3rd year of study) builds on the HML basic level. In addition to chromatics, attention is paid to sequence technique, modulations and enharmonic relations. Counterpoint aspects receive more attention.
Writing assignments are expanded with the study and imitation of concepts such as: passacaglia / chaconne, invention, chorale prelude, two- and three-part forms and sonata exposition. All this in a (very) simple and small-scale form.
