Content
Semester 3
Diatonic solfege exercises. Performing rhythms in two and three-part sizes (Pozzoli). Hear, read, write and analyze simple bass lines from composition sites in various styles (mainly diatonic). Determining a melody note in relation to the underlying harmony. Treatment of triads in ground location and reversal. Treatment of four sounds in the ground position. Singing of cadences.
Semester 4
Chromatic solfege exercises. Write out bass lines of more complex harmonies. The rest of the topics is the same as in semester 1.
