Course: Playing from a Figured Bass

Student organ:
Development of knowledge with regard to figured bass, constant training of cadences, continuation of improvisation on the basis of a figured bass; (unprepared) playing both figured and un-figured bass, guiding in different historical styles, expansion of the student's commitment to early music ensembles, with emphasis being placed on good teamwork, historical insight, good tuning and correct performance of the continuo party.
Attention is also paid to the continuo playing on (coffin) organ.

Students harpsichord:
As organ and treatment of the historical theory of harmony on the basis of 17th century continuo practices, guiding in different historical styles and different types of instruments, including singing, continuation of improvisation a.d.h.v. a figured bass; (unprepared) playing both figured and un-figured bass, attention to the treatment of harmonics on the basis of 18th century continuotractates, the student is trained to lead an ensemble from the harpsichord and from the score.
