Learning outcomes
The student:
- demonstrates the capability of coming to effective judgements when information is ambiguous, (culturally) biased and/or incomplete, in an assumed appropriate & ethical manner, also, or more specifically, when cultural diversity is at stake. (ref DD3)
- demonstrates the above capability by integrating relevant concepts, and by devising relevant solutions when addressing issues of finance, marketing, logistics and HR. (ref DD2)
Content
The aim of the course is to assist and stimulate students in developing their international and intercultural managerial & consultancy skills, from an overarching perspective of intercultural competence development.
The student is challenged to develop an increasingly sophisticated viewpoint on cultural differences, and to enact an increasingly sensitive perception of culture in relevant (international) business context, both personally and as part of a team.
Introduction (pre-semester, or week ‘zero’)

- IC pre-test taking: profiling the student’s IC start position
