Learning outcomes
- Formulate a problem statement and a linked research objective/question;
- Write a relevant literature review, design a conceptual model and develop sub research questions (sRQ's);
- Understand the difference between descriptive and interpretive writing;
- Design a suitable research methodology guided by the sRQ's addressing sampling, primary data collection and analysis;
- Draw conclusions based on the results/findings and formulate recommendations
- Demonstrate critical and logical thinking skills in researching and (report) writing;
- Increase their (business) English report writing vocabulary;
- Critically reflect on their own research process, their reporting on this process, on the process of collaboration, and on intercultural differences
Content
Through multiple lectures on the different subjects of doing applied research and reporting, students are guided in doing a research assignment which is assessed
