This course focuses on advanced academic writing in English. It builds on the course academic writing skills 1. This course will go beyond the rudiments of academic writing, and deals with more advanced conventions, complicated structures and style, as well as higher-level vocabulary.
Details:
This course focuses on academic writing in English, particularly on writing academic papers. Apart from general English aspects such as grammar, the course will deal with conventions, structure and style typical of academic texts. Further, more advanced vocabulary will be practiced. The level of the course is advanced, helping students reach B2/C1 level English or above1. Students should preferably bring a laptop to class so that writing assignments can be done in class.
