Content
This module is an introduction to biochemistry, covering the structure and function of proteins, enzymes, lipids, DNA and RNA. Theory is covered in fourteen instructional lectures. There is also a practical, where protein folding and denaturation are investigated. Furthermore, the module includes the Biobased Chemistry project, where a practical assignment related to sustainability in the lab is worked on in small groups. In addition, a poster is made on a literature topic. Mentoring activities revolve around personal development (PD) and professional identity (PI).
