Content
PT-care 6 consists of 2 courses of 5 EC that are interwoven with each other. Course 1: Neurology & Rehabilitation 2 Theory and course 2: Skills & Professional Product.
This course concerns Neurology & Rehabilitation 2 and covers the more theoretical part of PT care 6.
The examination and treatment of a patient with central neurological injury require customized approaches. The impairments, limitations, and participation problems can vary significantly. It is essential to develop and implement appropriate examination and treatment plans.
For the effective formulation of examination and treatment programs, medical-biological, behavioral science, and physiotherapeutic knowledge are necessary. This knowledge should be applicable to (central) neurological health issues. Clinical reasoning becomes possible through the integration of this knowledge.
Medical-biological, behavioral science, and physiotherapeutic knowledge regarding central neurological conditions are assessed at various cognitive levels.
The theoretical background will be assessed with a written theory exam, additionally sufficient communication skills by means of a targeted conversation are conditional to complete this course.
