Final qualifications/competencies
The student determines the need for nursing care in a low-complex care situation on the basis of clinical reasoning in the physical, psychological, functional and social areas, indicates and provides this care in complex situations, according to the nursing process, on the basis of evidence-based practice.
The nurse indicates and performs nursing technical (reserved) acts based on independent competence or functional independence as described in the BIG Act.
Learning outcomes this study component
The student has knowledge of cells, tissues and topography of the human body.
The student has knowledge of different organ systems such as: skeletal, muscular, nervous, neurological
digestive system, urinary system.
The student has integrated knowledge of related pathology and pharmacology, e.g. CVA and
psychopathology.
The student has background knowledge of various nursing skills such as:
movement support, assisting IV insertion, IV removal, gavage and tube feeding, ostomy care,
disposable catheterisation and bladder flushing, indwelling and suprapubis catheter

Content
The student acquires knowledge and understanding of anatomy, physiology and psychopathology (AFP) and nursing.
For AFP, the student is given self-study assignments and in weekly response lectures, difficult, not understood topics are
addressed.
The nursing knowledge the student acquires by making self-study and work-study assignments and discussing them in the working group. In addition, the student immerses himself in the background of nursing procedures by studying theory, making tests in Expertcollege and discussing theory during practical classes.
