Content
Promoting safety is central to 'organising care'.
For this assignment, you make a situation, which leads or may lead to unsafety for the care recipient, colleague or both, a reasoned discussion in your workplace. You examine the safety management systems in place in the organisation as relevant to your workplace and from the perspective of the care recipient and the nurse. You investigate what the organisational tasks and responsibilities of the senior nurse are regarding safety in the field of patient care.
In a presentation, you describe the situation you have discussed and the reasoning behind the choice for that situation. During the presentation, you also reflect on your role as an organiser.
Through self-study and during working groups, you study safety management topics, legislation and how to promote safety. Communication skills cover how to make a problem negotiable.
During reflection groups, you learn to reflect on your own actions.
