Content
To prepare you for professional practice, the course includes a work placement. The aim of this work placement is to familiarise you with the professional working environment. The emphasis of the work placement is on learning to function in the professional field by carrying out a work placement assignment. You will undertake your work placement at a host organisation, such as a company, hospital, university, research institute, etc. You will work under the supervision of a workplace supervisor. The placement is worth 30 EC, during which you will work on an assignment that aligns with the programme profile and the final-year competencies.
For information on graduation, the Brightspace course ‘Stage’ is available. OnStage is used as the administration system.
The placement lasts 20 weeks. You will start by drawing up a plan of action, carry out the work, and conclude the placement with a portfolio and a poster presentation. The portfolio comprises set and optional components, through which you demonstrate your competences. Halfway through the placement period, an interim evaluation will be scheduled with you, your placement supervisor and your contact lecturer.
During the placement period, review sessions are organised to assist you with the placement process, the portfolio and the poster presentation.
