Content
Musical Theatre Domain: this domain focuses on mastering the technical aspects of musical theatre. The Musical Theatre domain is divided into a core and a foundation section, with technical proficiency being acquired in the foundation section and the core section bridging the gap between technology, the various forms of musical theatre and the Flex domain: the practical and theoretical components of this domain aim to give students the opportunity to design a personalised learning pathway. During the Intensive Weeks, students can shape this pathway themselves through optional modules. In Year 9Ad, a student may take modules from the Higher Professional Education (HBO) Bachelor’s programme in Dance Teaching within this domain, thereby gaining an introduction to the practice of teaching.
Flex module
Through flex modules, students have the opportunity to deepen or broaden their knowledge. There are two options to choose from: flex module(s) focused on education, or flex module(s) focused on performance. Education flex modules are a prerequisite for admission to the Plus de Deux programme (dual degree).
Intensive
An intensive takes place during a week free of regular timetabled classes. During an intensive, students are immersed in a specific aspect of Dance (creation) and/or
Musical Theatre (creation). In a short period of time, students develop the skills associated with this aspect.
Martha’s International Programme (MIP)
Through this module, students gain an understanding of the international performing arts sector. This is achieved through a range of activities, including intensive courses, exchange programmes and a study trip. By taking part in these activities, students learn to work with international choreographers and collaborate with students from partner institutions.
