This student has completed the English History, Language and Culture minor.
The student can conduct a meaningful correspondence in correct English and write a report in grammatically correct English at pre-academic level about an issue that is relevant to his/her field of study, using various English sources. This minor will bring the students' language skills to level B2. Students understand the various cultures within the Commonwealth and can relate these to their own cultures. Students become aware of the histories of Britain and the USA and generally of the countries within the Commonwealth. Students will know where the major players within the Commonwealth are situated as well as its main cities. Students can use this information to provide background information with current issues and can give a presentation about a specific issue, using publications from quality sources in correct and topical English.
