The Bachelor degree programme Design will learn Students everything they need to work as a designer. 
The programme is composed of compulsory units and elective units and is professional development orientated.

• Exchange students can choose from 5 majors.
• Each programme is one semester long
• All courses within the Design programme are assessed by awarding either a V (voldoende – pass) or O (onvoldoende – fail).
• We offer fixed programmes; it is not possible to mix and match courses from different exchange programmes.
• The elective course is a course you can pick based on your personal interests/ objectives from a broad range of options.
• At Minerva Art Academy, Design exchange students are integrated in a second year Design group. So as an exchange student, you are part of the community.
• The programme is in English. 

The major Graphic & Interaction Design focuses on the diversity of media in the work-field of communication. This major offers the student the possibility to intensify his or her knowledge and skills in developing concepts for graphic design and realising the concept for web applications, books, magazine, posters or audiovisual applications, depending on the students own artistic choice and preferred discipline.

The degree programme equips the student with the competences required of a professional in the field of Design as mentioned below:

1. ARTISTIEKE CREATIE
De student kan een visueel werkproces op gang brengen en werk creëren waarin praktijkgericht onderzoek een plaats heeft. Met het werk en met een werkwijze creëert de student betekenis.

2. ONDERZOEK EN REFLECTIE
De student is in staat om kritisch en vanuit meerdere perspectieven na te denken over het eigen werk en de eigen werkwijze, alsook over die van anderen. Hierdoor kan de student het eigen ontwerp of de eigen kunstenaarschap verdiepen, meer gelaagdheid geven en positioneren.

3. VERBINDING MET DE OMGEVING
De student neemt als kunstenaar/ontwerper een positie in, zowel inhoudelijk als relationeel, in de (internationale) contexten waarin hij of zij werkt.

4. WERKEN IN EEN PRAKTIJK
De student is in staat om voorwaarden te scheppen voor zijn of haar eigen werkpraktijk, in lijn met zijn of haar eigen positionering. Daartoe is de student in staat om te organiseren en met anderen te communiceren.
