Students will work on developing a number of B2 level skills based on, among others, the following CEFR B2 descriptors:
- The student can follow extended speech and complex lines of argument provided the topic is reasonably familiar, and the direction of the talk is signposted by explicit markers.
- The student can follow the discussion on matters related to his/her field, understand in detail the points given prominence by the speaker.
- The student can give a clear, prepared presentation, giving reasons in support of or against a particular point of view and giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
- The student can synthesize and report information and arguments from a number of sources.

Students will prepare arguments based on the Toulmin Method of Argumentation. During the assessment, these arguments will be presented (in Pecha Kucha format) in groups; and will be followed by class discussions.
