Learning outcomes
The student:
Procurement  
  1. Explains the purchasing function and the phases of the (cyclical/linear) purchasing process in terms of their content and is capable of applying the elements from these phases (9);  
  1. Analyses the desired customer-supplier relationship on the basis of underlying purchasing theory (e.g. Kraljic) to determine a suitable purchasing strategy (make, buy or ally) in which the sustainability of the solution is of prime importance (9). 
  1. Recognises the importance of supplier management for guaranteeing the quality of the service provision (SLA, KPI) for the customer (8, 9).  
 Legal  
  1. Explains the basics of procurement law and has knowledge of various European tendering procedures (9);  
  1. Identifies and explains the basic rules of the law of contracts (9); 
 Financial  

6.    Quantifies and assesses the financial consequences of make, buy or ally decisions (9) 
7.     Performs financial decision-supportive calculations (7,8). 
 

 

Inhoud

Procurement – FMVB22PCM

Procurement:
Based on the sessions, you will gain an understanding of the role of purchasing, as it relates to facilities challenges and the rules for professional (European) tendering procedures. General key terms such as socially responsible or sustainable  procurement, purchasing process, (European) tendering procedures and purchasing strategy are explained and you will learn how to implement the various phases of the purchasing process, with a focus on contract management. The sessions support the central project and are evaluated in written form on the basis of case study questions. 

Legal aspects:
In the Legal aspects sessions, you will gain knowledge about the legal aspects which arise in the process of purchasing and developing innovations. The focus will be on contract law and (European) procurement law. The sessions support the central project and are evaluated in written form on the basis of case study questions. 

Managementaccounting:
The Financial aspects sessions will cover a wide variety of financial concepts that tie in with the subjects of purchasing and development of innovations. In so doing, the financial aspects of the Business Model Canvas will, for example, be covered. The sessions support the central project and are evaluated in written form on the basis of case study questions.
