In practice, it is increasingly common that you work on one project together with several people.
In the Laboratory Course you work on a specific research project, preferably from a client (research center of company). Before a starting a project, it is important to describe the current situation regarding the project assignment: what do you know and what you do not know. Explain the goals that you and the group want to achieve and make an realistic planning for this within certain boundaries (time, budget, infrastructure, knowledge, etc.). You adequately execute the research project in the laboratory and communicate with the client (work discussion, poster, report).

Inhoud
Within the Laboratory Course of Medical Biology, the emphasis is on working with cells in tissue cultures, but also lots of other techniques and methods are used.
Students will work on (ongoing) research project linked to the Knowledge Center Biobased Economy, Center of Expertise Energy, Innovation Centers or Companies. A variety of project will be available, which will be presented shortly before the start of the module.
Students will be assessed based on their practical skills, on a research report and a poster (including presentation).
Literature:
There is no general practical manual available during this module. Students will look for protocols in scientific literature to execute the experiments
