Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
 
  1. Define economics in the marketing process.
  2. understand the marketplace and customer value.
  3. Analyze the global marketing environment and global economic development.
  4. Understand the nature of assets, liabilities and equity, and their registration on financial statements.
  5. Prepare and interpret changes in a Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
  6. Calculate and interpret a selection of financial ratios with regards to a company’s financial health.

Inhoud

This course consists of the subjects:
  • Marketing Economics
  • Business Investing
All elements of this course prepare you for running your own company. The student will learn about all aspects of business and how to make well-informed decisions in order to perform better.

Marketing Economics:
In this introductory course in marketing economics, students will explore important topics such as the macro- and micro-external environment and how it influences a business and the marketing department.

Business Investment:
The students learn the basics of financial statements and financial ratios. Financial statements that are covered include the financing plan, the balance sheet, the cash flow statement and the income statement. The financial ratios cover various topics such as solvency and liquidity.
