Inhoud

The Performance course focuses on your artistic, creative and technical skills as a musician and is essential for your professional development. Finding your own artistic voice is the priority. The overall aim of the Performance course is to support the development of your Professional Practice from the technical, creative, and artistic perspective, as well as the perspective of engagement.
You will receive individual lessons on your main instrument. For classical music the module “Musical Language and its Development” is part of the course. The semester will be concluded with a 30-minute music program.

For NYJ, you have the opportunity to set the direction of your study as a player. Your teacher will guide you on your chosen path. You work within the lab band where you connect your research to your playing together with fellow students. In the first semester this can help to identify and reflect on your research topic.
There are several master classes in the NY comes to Groningen programme.

NAIP students participate in the modules “Leading and Guiding”, “Performance and Communication” and “Creative Ensemble”.

There are several Electives you can choose from, based on your needs and study plan.
