Inhoud

The Performance course focuses on your artistic, creative and technical skills as a musician and is essential for your professional development. Finding your own artistic voice is the priority. You will have individual lessons on your main instrument in each of the three strands.

For Classical Music the module “Musical Language and Its Development” ends with the narrative day.

In NAIP, your role changes more towards a leading and organizing role within the different modules. In the 4th semesters the students are expected to take a direct role in organising and leadership.

Whitin NYJ you will integrate your experiences from abroad in your playing and you will be working on your own learning goals as described in your study plan.

In the fourth semester you work towards your final integral assessment. This means that you as a student are in the lead and that you, together with your coaching team, shape your plans to be an engaged musician with a reflective, curious and entrepreneurial mindset. And that you can make sound and well-informed decisions for your career.
The final integral assessment at the end of this semester can take on many forms: a concert, a lecture recital, a classical recital, an interdisciplinary performance, a workshop, an artistic presentation, combinations of all that, etc. etc. We use the word ‘demonstration’ to describe this event. You can choose any form if it allows the assessment committee to obtain a complete picture of your developed practice, and all the required competencies are addressed. This means that the demonstration is always accompanied by a portfolio that you build up throughout your studies and that an interview is always part of your final integral assessment. You design the final integral assessment in close consultation with your coaches.

There are several Electives you can choose from, based on your needs and study plan.
