LILO 1: Identity of the sports professional 
The sports professional uses reflection, knowledge and the experiences of others to develop their own professional identity in a systematic manner, and so contributes to their own development and the direct professional environment. 
 
LILO 2: Research and development 
The sports professional is inquisitive when it comes to sport and exercise. They work methodically under supervision and take a healthy interest in improving the industry. They ask questions, analyse and interpret research results and conduct applied and design-based research, under supervision, in a given context. They use the knowledge and insights they have gained to develop appropriate sports and exercise products, under supervision. 
 
LILO 3: Coordination, positioning and supervision 
The sports professional coordinates, positions and supervises projects and programmes that promote sport and exercise. The sports professional initiates these projects and implements these exercise programmes, in association with others and under supervision, and in doing so is able to implement or coordinate at the tactical and operational levels, depending on what the situation requires. 
 
LILO 5: Evaluation and advice 
The sports professional develops, advises on, implements and evaluates sports and exercise strategies and policies, under supervision. In doing so, the sports professional independently manages the policy cycle with a view to safeguarding and developing the continuity and quality of the sports and exercise products as well as the organisation itself.

Inhoud

The international sports world is constantly changing and (prospective) sports professionals help to shape this. In this course, an innovative sport or sport service will be devised, designed, developed and marketed from a context that is not pre-determined. It will be possible to then test this sports product or service in the active practice of sport.
 
Making use of design thinking, small groups will design and present an idea for an (innovative) sports product or service based on creativity and experiences of the sports world. The idea will be given concrete form by the material delivery of (for example) a manual, user instructions or rules of the game for this idea, which will be the basis of a (rough) prototype that will be created and tested in the target group. A concrete application will be sought entrepreneurially in (sporting) practice and an attempt will be made to achieve previously formulated objectives using a developed marketing plan and associated set of instruments. There will be continuous reporting (presentations and products) on the progress of the process/product and at predefined times.
