Inhoud
Theory 5 and 6 offer an increasingly individual learning trajectory, focusing on independent historical and theoretical research into selected aspects of contemporary art. Students identify and formulate essential research topics in relation to their artistic practice. These topics may draw from a broad spectrum of contemporary global culture, including visual arts, philosophy, sociology, psychology, politics, history, or the natural sciences.
Throughout the process, students receive guidance in developing a relevant research approach and applying appropriate writing styles that reflect the nature of their investigation. The research culminates in an oral presentation and a written text that outlines the research process, findings, and emerging questions.
Students also engage with current debates in art history and contemporary culture and compile a written report that includes documentation of their research process and source material.
