| After completion of this course students will be able to elaborate on and analyse the alignment in interlinking processes within a supply chain (especially regarding the supply or procurement side) from an organisation's perspective on strategic level. Meaning they will understand and are also able to apply the most important principles of strategic procurement (and supply chain) management. Contemporary thinking and practice will be discussed, via strong, relevant and engaging case studies, so the latest developments in procurement and supply chain management can and will be thoroughly discussed, making sure the subject will be brought to life. Finally also understanding and dealing with necessary trade-offs from involved partners regarding purchasing will be trained and tested, via for example, practical negotiations. Inhoud
The course focusses on offering a complete introduction to the most important principles of strategic procurement (and supply chain) management by using a flexible managerial perspective.
A shift towards more fair, circular and sustainable purchasing or buying (management) will be discussed, next to looking into modern automated developments and support via for example blockchain, IOT (Internet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
