In this course students learn to write polyphonic compositions. Semester 1 focuses on writing a fugue; semester 2 focuses on writing a theme and variations.

Semester 1: fugue. Includes technical explanation of the fugue as a composition form, in tandem with active practical application of the theory by composing one from scratch.
