Vak: Professional Writing 2 credits: 2

In the first lessons there will be small assignments to practice writing a professional text and and analyzing readers' needs. Text can be compared with music! It is all about structure, colors, form. We will talk about the pyramidmodel and the funnelmodel to write a text. There are different structures, is your text about an action, about a problem, an intervention, evaluation? How can you take care that you write in not too easy language, but also not too difficult and complex language? Do you know your reader? What effect do you hope to achieve with this text? I encourage you to take texts to the lessons which you need to write anyway so we can discuss and improve them together during the lessons. We will also discuss how to handle writing in a language that is not your mother tongue and how to make this easier.
