Minor Conflict management and mediation part-time

Profile of the programme

This minor consists of three elements:
Conflict theory: the theoretical background of conflicts
Conflict skills: training in helping participants solve their conflicts
Professional development: the mediator’s attitude and the ability to reflect upon one’s professional behaviour

In the first half of this minor, these three elements operate at a basic level. During the second half of this course, training takes place at an advanced level. Participants become all-round mediators with a solid background in the field of conflict management. A vast array of conflict areas are discussed: from work-related conflicts to disputes between neighbours, group conflict and intercultural communication or lack thereof. Students will work within existing organisations to further develop their skills in this field.
