Learning outcomes

To further develop international business awareness, the students will explore the economic, social and environmental impact of disruptive technologies, ending with a professional presentation and report. The student is able to plan and reflect on the structure and content of the presentation and is able to provide feedback on classmates’ presentations. 

Upon completion of this module the student shows the ability to: 

  • Deliver a presentation at the appropriate level of formality, incorporating appropriate vocabulary and with minimal errors (CEFR C1) 
  • Incorporate presentation skills effectively like use of body language, eye contact, audio-visual aids and storytelling.  
  • Structure a presentation effectively with a clear purpose, introduction, conclusion, and signposting 
  • Write a professional business report at C1 level with the required report sections, microstructure, layout and APA referencing  
  • independently make a realistic and effective planning 
  • determine the required time, actions, tools and priorities in relation to the activities of others 
  • describe a disruptive innovation 
  • analyse the economic impact of a disruptive innovation by using a stakeholders’ analysis model

Content

The student will build on the knowledge and experiences in period 1. The aim of period 2 is to deepen the knowledge base and to look further than one’s own background.
