Learning outcomes

The focus of this module is intercultural and professional competency development.

On a personal level the student is able to:
  • understand their role in a group or project team;
  • identify own strengths and weaknesses to increase self-awareness;
  • give and receive feedback in order to improve co-operation
From an intercultural perspective, the student is individually able to:
  • recognize and describe norms, values and cultural foundations, as experienced within the group in the simulation game.

Content

This module is an introduction to intercultural competency and professional development. The aim in period 1 is for the student to recognize and understand his own (cultural) background and how this has influenced the perception of the world. For personal development, the topics will be: how do you learn, how do you listen, how do you understand yourself, and how do you work and interact in groups.
