Learning outcomes

The master's student:

  • Shows curiosity about the life world, values and views of others and about other arts education practices and explores this in a narrative interview and a small case study. (3c)
  • Develops a personal, professional vision of his art educational practice, substantiates it from theory and positions it in the current discourse on art and education. (2d, 5c)
  • Anticipates new developments and questions in the art education field and designs new cross-curricular or interdisciplinary art education products for specifically named (new) contexts and target groups. (1b,c,d, 2a,b,c. 3a, 4a, 5d)
  • Reflects on his learning process, competence and vision development - specifically from the role as educator - by making use of the collegiate dialogue in the COL. (5a, 5b)
  • Presents and communicates art pedagogical vision and art educational design persuasively to laymen and experts. (3d, 4b, 4c)

Content

In the second Master's workshop in Cultural Pedagogy and Art Educational Practices, the emphasis is on the role of the educator, ie the teacher and pedagogue. The student describes and substantiates his own, usually implicit and subjective (art) pedagogical vision by confronting theory, practical experiences and personal and/or social urgency. This vision takes shape in a stubborn and sensory way in everyone's art education signature. To this end, the master's student designs art education assignments and experiments that are performed and reflected on together during lab days.

The master workshop is built up from four lines:
  • Art Educational Practices
  • (Art)pedagogical vision
  • Research in art education
  • Collegiate dialogue
