Content

In the module Behavior and Communication, which is part of the learning trajectory of Medical Practice, we work on the professional CanMEDs roles of communicator, collaborator, organizer/manager, and (professional) personal leadership. In Behavior and Communication 3 (GC3), attention is paid to dealing with patient emotions, pain education, and the first acquaintance with Shared Decision Making. The communication skills in consultation, physical examination, and policy/ treatment plan discussion or feedback of collected data to the patient and completion of the conversation are tested at the end of GC3 in the consultation hour test and therefore practiced during GC 3 through role-play and working with training actor. Attention is paid to efficient structured (medical) consultation, communication skills (oral and written) and reflection on one's own (professional) actions. Attention is also paid to writing a patient report to complete the consultation. Topics to be dealt with follow the cases and patient problems discussed in the clinical medicine courses.
