Physician Assistant

Profile of the programme

The accredited Master Physician Assistant program covers a 2,5-year curriculum, and is designed to train PAs as medical providers. The program is designated as a second cycle, EQF level 7 status, with a total study load of 150 ECTS. Upon successful completion candidates are granted a Master of Science degree. Throughout the whole program theory and clinical learning are interwoven, known as “dual program”. The curriculum is divided into a basic and expert profile. The basic profile consists of two learning trajectories, namely that of 1) Medical Practice and 2) Science. The practical learning trajectory has a total study load of 84 ECTS (2352 SBUs) of which  7 compulsory clinical internships (21 ECTS) need to be done outside the own specialty learning environment. The combination of education on campus, self-study, exams and assignments entail a study load of 66 ECTS (1848 SBUs).
