Learning outcomes
Course content
This graduation module focuses on conducting practice-oriented research. Practice-oriented research aims to contribute to innovating and improving healthcare and prevention. Throughout the course, elements of research have been discussed that provide tools for the graduation research. In this phase of the training, research is continued and deepened. The focus is on further developing a critical and investigative attitude and learning research skills. To achieve this, two specialisations are offered: diagnostic and design research.
The graduation research is an integral assignment that brings together the knowledge and experience of recent years. With the graduation research we aim for the student to be demonstrably able to set up and carry out coherent practice-oriented research at the end of the course.
This module focuses on the following main theme:
Research
The student analyzes the complex practical issue within the domain of healthcare and welfare in co-creation with relevant stakeholders.
The student uses an appropriate research approach for the practical issue and substantiates it.
The student determines, with relevant stakeholders, new ideas in a methodical manner, planning products with regard to the complex practical issue.
The student contributes to creating impact in practice through practice-oriented research.
The student demonstrates a reflective attitude towards his or her own role as a novice professional and towards the research process.

Content
After the preparation, the implementation of practice-oriented research starts.
In this phase of the graduation research you work in a methodical way on the following phases of the research cycle: data collection, data analysis, conclusions & recommendations and reporting & presentation.
The practice-oriented research is concluded with the writing of a research report and a presentation with defense of the graduation research.
