Content

This module focuses on the importance of technological innovations (care technology) in the healthcare and welfare sectors. Can healthcare technology make a meaningful contribution and/or add value to the quality of care and welfare? Is technology able to reverse the ever-increasing cost of healthcare in the budget of the Dutch BV? And if the answer to one or both questions is “Yes,” how should we do this properly? Can people, both care recipients and employees in healthcare and welfare, become accustomed to the technological possibilities that are available? How do you ensure that people become familiar with technology and see and/or experience its value for themselves or their loved ones? And what about themes such as safety, ethics and the perceived quality of care?
