This minor is offered in semester 2, starting February.

This programme focuses on where mechanical, electrical and software engineering meet. This is done from an electrical engineer’s perspective. That means, the main focus will be on the mechanical engineering an electrical engineer needs to design a mechatronic system. Topics like statics, dynamics, materials, components, system interactions, design principles and applications in robotics and industrial automation are studied. With lectures, excursions, theoretical and practical assignments students will gain in depth knowledge of Mechatronics Engineering.

Students will acquire everything they need to be able to design and implement a mechatronic system. Students will aquire in-depth knowledge of mechatronics engineering through initial courses and project courses. It will include:

• Integrating knowledge across all mechatronics aspects.
• Learning design methodologies and fully implementing, testing, and reviewing a mechatronic system.
